Lino Print-Making Art Final

Lino Print-Making Art Final

During the Art class we learned about Lino and Mono Printmaking.

It was a challenging task and I managed to get this Cross out with much Difficulty.  Looking back I can see how I would improve and do things differently...

or so I thought!

For my Art final I decided to tackle something outside my comfort zone and do a collection of Lino print greeting cards that went along with the candy Christ theme.  I started out with 8 designs!

which was overly ambitious once I began cutting.  The curves and lines were difficult and I was treating the mats like they were stamps.

But alas, the professor saw that I was not grasping the concept of lino printing and helped me do a double color print!  I was so grateful for his help and I understood the process much better.

SUCCESS! We managed to make 2 color Lino prints!  They were very messy and involved.  Cant say its my favorite process.

I tried to do a dual color nativity scene but that didnt come out quite right.  In the end I gave up and decided to pander to the teacher for a good grade.
